Farcimar, S.A., supplied White Concrete Panelling for yet another construction project in Bouygues TP, now in the Bordeaux region, in France.
The Prefabricated Concrete Panels are part of the company’s product line. However, Farcimar designed and produced White Precast Concrete facing panels for the Pont de la Palombe bridge overpass. This solution, which covers 180 m, allows the possibility of crossing the railway line, south of the Saint-Jean Railway Station, in Bordeaux.
The precast façade panels which are also used on the bridge’s overpass abutment walls have a vertical lozenge pattern in both a raised and flat texture, as per client’s specifications.
103 precast concrete panels with varying geometries were produced and supplied
At the start of the bridge’s overpass project, 6 special parts, 60cm thick were also supplied, in addition to laterally slanted gutters which are placed at the top. The gutters were built this way to allow a slight curvature in this section, after placement.
These parts are also in White concrete. However, they are smoothly finished.
The panels are 12 cm thick, and the fixation system was designed by the Marc Mimram Architecte practice together with the Farcimar S.A., Project and Innovation Department.
