QUAY WALLS

Within the “Retaining Walls” family of products FARCIMAR presents a specific solution for the execution of quay walls, usually used in train / metro stations and halts of railway lines. Farcimar presents 4 standard typologies and whenever required adapt or develop new elements with difierent dimensions. Such solution was developed on the basis of the established in projects-type of rails and consists in elements of retaining walls with more reduced dimensions adapted to the requirements for the construction of quay walls. 

They are parts that present a high quality finishing and with a system of tongue-groove joint which, together with the advantages of the use of precast elements, provide the execution of quay walls in a quicker and more economic way with great perfection. e quay walls executed with parts of type MC1 are “capped” with edge beams VB23 which are going to limit the side platforms of the railway lines. These Edge Beams are reinforced with an angle in L of galvanized steel in the lateral lip of the platforms aiming to maintain the geometry of the part and to avoid the deterioration as time passes.
